Page 7: Inserting The Batteries
Please follow the instructions below to insert batteries into your StyleCam Groove digital camera: Open the battery door on the bottom of the camera by sliding it in the direction of the arrow. Insert two (2) new AA batteries into the battery slots. Please note the polarities located on the inside cover of the battery door to ensure that the batteries are inserted correctly. -

• To turn the StyleCam Groove’s power ON, press and hold the Power/Mode button for three (3) seconds. The camera will beep and the status LCD will display camera information. • To turn the StyleCam Groove’s power OFF, press and hold the Power/Mode button for three (3) seconds until the camera beeps and the status LCD turns off. -

Press the Power/Mode button again to select the desired resolution setting. Frame your subject by looking through the viewfinder. Hold still and press the shutter button firmly to take the picture. -

Press the Power/Mode button to turn the camera’s power to ON. Press the Power/Mode button to scroll to the MovieMode icon. Press the Flash button to select the Indoor/Outdoor setting. Frame your subject through the viewfinder and press the Shutter button once to start recording. The video icon will blink continuously as the camera records a video. -

SiPix CamExplorer The SiPix Camera Explorer enables the camera to function as a storage device. You can download the images and video directly from the camera without using a third-party application. -

& & Follow these instructions to install the camera driver and application software on your PC system. Note: (For Windows 98SE users ONLY!) If you have an older version of Direct X installed on your computer. The driver will detect it and notify you with a message. - Page 13 Automatic Installation 1. Note: Before you connect the StyleCam Groove to your PC, you must install the SiPix software drivers. Press and hold the Power/Mode button to turn the camera’s power to OFF. Open the USB connector cover. With the supplied USB cable, plug-in the smaller USB connector to the USB port on the camera. -

& & The StyleCam Groove can be used with Microsoft NetMeeting for video conferencing. Follow these instructions: Connect the StyleCam Groove to your computer with the supplied USB cable. The camera will power on automatically. Launch NetMeeting. Go to Start → Programs → Accessories → Communications → NetMeeting. After NetMeeting starts, click the Tools menu, select Video and click “Send”. -
