Possible solutions
x Check for interference from appliances (microwave ovens, TVs,
etc.) or wireless devices (baby monitors, WiFi equipment, etc.).
Move the handset or base away from the interference source.
x Try to adjust the audio tone. During a call, press TONE to cycle
through the three audio tone options:
(recommended for hearing aid users), or
setting appears in the display as you do this.)
x If you use a telecoil hearing aid, turn on T-coil mode (see page 9).
x If you have any service that uses the phone line, add a DSL or
telephone line filter (see page 23).
Possible solutions
x Let calls ring twice before answering.
x Make sure your Caller ID service is active.
x You may have to change the line mode. Contact
Customer Service for instructions.
x Making sure Caller Announce (Text-To-Speech) is
turned on (see page 13).
x Increasing the ringer volume so the CID announcements
are louder.
x Make sure the answering system is on.
x Make sure the base is plugged in.
x See if
x Delete messages (memory may be full).
x See if another handset is using the system.
