Interval Recording Mode

Set the interval and number of frames in advance. Sound is not recorded
in this mode.
Activating and Configuring
1 Open the [Recording Mode] submenu.
[3 Recording/Media Setup] > [Recording Mode]
2 Select [Interval Recording] and then press SET.
• [INT STBY] appears at the top of the screen (with [INT] flashing).
3 Open the [Interval] submenu.
[3 Recording/Media Setup] > [Special Recording Settings] >
[Interval Recording] > [Interval]
4 Select the desired interval and then press SET.
• You can select one of 12 interval settings from 1 second to 10
minutes.
5 To set the number of frames to record, open the [Recorded Frames]
submenu.
[3 Recording/Media Setup] > [Special Recording Settings] > [Interval Recording] > [Recorded Frames]
6 Select the desired number of frames and then press SET.
• Available options are 1, 3, 6 and 9 frames.
Recording
1 Press the START/STOP button to begin recording.
• The camera automatically records the set number of frames at the specified interval.
• The tally lamp illuminates.
• [INT STBY] changes to [Ü INT REC] while recording frames, and [Ü INT] and a countdown until the next
recording between recordings.
2 Press the START/STOP button again to stop recording.
• All of the recorded frames are joined together into one clip.
• The tally lamp goes out and [INT STBY] appears at the top of the screen (with [INT] flashing).
3 When you have finished recording, turn off the special recording mode.
• Repeat steps 1 and 2 of the previous procedure selecting [Normal Recording] instead.

• If Long GOP compression was being used, the bit rate will change automatically to an option with Intra-frame
compression.
• You can use only one special recording mode at a time.
• The interval and the number of frames recorded cannot be changed while recording.
• Some frames at the point the recording was stopped may be recorded and added to the end of the clip.
• If the system frequency is changed, interval recording mode will be canceled and the interval recording
settings will be reset to default values.
