Problem
Copies shift sideways.
Copies shift in the direction of
the original feed (or opposite)
direction.
Copies are shorter than the se-
lected size, or cut off before
the end.
Wrinkles appear on the copy.
Copies are slanted.
Original and copy size does
not match.
You cannot combine several
functions.
Causes
The paper roll is not set cor-
rectly.
The original does not match
the size in the original table
setting.
The paper is not set correctly
in the paper bypass.
Print Position Adjustment or
Margin Adjustment mode is
selected.
The paper is damp.
The paper is damp. See "Anti-
humidity Heater Switch",
General Settings Guide.
The original is not straight.
Dampness can cause paper to
stretch.
The selected functions cannot
be used together.
If You Cannot Make Copies As You Want
Solutions
Set the paper roll correctly,
making sure it is straight and
not loose. See "CLoading Pa-
per Roll", General Settings
Guide.
Adjust the original guides to
the specified size, and then in-
sert the original along the
guides. See p.15 "Placing
Originals".
Make sure the paper size
matches the paper bypass's
paper guides. See p.25 "Copy-
ing from the Paper Bypass".
Cancel Print Position Adjust-
ment or Margin Adjustment
mode. See p.50 "Margin Ad-
justment" and p.61 "Adjust
Print Position".
Replace the paper with new
paper.
Cut the paper to 1000 mm
(40") just before copying.
Turn on the anti-humidity
heater. See "Anti-humidity
Heater Switch", General Set-
tings Guide.
Insert the original along the
original guides, so it is
straight.
Adjust the Fine Magnification
setting for Additional Copy.
See p.40 "Fine Magnification".
Check the combination of set-
tings, and set again. See p.97
"Combination Chart".
