If the vehicle is scrapped with the airbags and seat belt pretensioners not deployed, this may cause an accident such as fire. Be sure to have the systems of the SRS airbag and seat belt pretensioner removed and disposed of by a qualified service shop or by your Lexus dealer before you scrap your vehicle.

    1-1. For safe use Before driving Floor mat Use only floor mats designed specifically for vehicles of the same model and model year as your vehicle. Fix them securely in place onto the carpet. Insert the retaining hooks (clips) into the floor mat eyelets.

For safe use Child restraint systems A child restraint system for a small child or baby must itself be properly restrained on the seat with the LATCH anchors or the lap portion of the lap/ shoulder belt. The laws of all 50 states of the U.S.A. and Canada now require the use of child restraint systems.

    1-1. For safe use Installing child restraints Follow the child restraint system manufacturer’s instructions. Firmly secure child restraints to the seats using the LATCH anchors or a seat belt. Attach the top tether strap when installing a child restraint. The lap/shoulder belt can be used if your child restraint system is not compati- ble with the LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) system.
