1-7. Installation of Optional Boards
Settings and Checks after Installation
After installing the HKDV-507/507D, perform the following settings and checks.
Procedure
1. Check all bits of dip switch S1 (located in the center at top edge) on the PD-94/107 board are set to
OFF (upper side).
2. Turn ON the power switch.
3. Set the HDW-F500 to 23.976 PsF (or 24 PsF) mode.
(1) Enter the maintenance mode menu.
. Press the MAINTENANCE switch with a sharp tip. The maintenance information display will
be shown.
. While pressing the [SFT] (shift) key, press the [F8] (MAINTE EXEC) key to enter the
maintenance mode menu.
(2) Press the [F9] (OTHERS CHECK) key to set the OTHERS CHECK screen.
(3) Press the [F9] (SYSTEM MENU) key to set the SYSTEM MENU screen.
(4) Press the [F2] (HD FRQ) key to display mode1 (or mode2), and then press [F9] (EXEC) key.
The confirmation message "Are you sure" will be displayed. If OK, press the [F9] (EXEC) key
again.
System rebooting will be executed and the 23.976 PsF (or 24 PsF) setting is completed.
(If mode1 (or mode2) is already displayed, press the [F10] (EXIT) key to exit the maintenance
menu.
4. Setting the VIDEO TEST SIGNAL
(1) Enter the VTR SETUP menu.
. Press the [SETUP] key. The SETUP menu will be displayed.
. Press the [F6] (VTR SETUP) key to enter the VTR SETUP menu.
(2) Press the [F2] (NEXT CATEG) key to change the select item to T01: AUTO REPEAT. Then
press [V] key to select T02: INT VID SG.
(3) Press the [F7] (CHANGE DATA) key twice to turn the INTERNAL VIDEO SINAL GENERA-
TOR (HD) to ON.
(4) Press the [F10] (SAVE/EXIT) key twice to exit from the VTR SETUP menu.
(5) Connect the VIDEO INPUT of the monitor corresponding to the HD SERIAL input and PULL
DOWN OUT (OPTION) connector on the connector panel using BNC cable, and check that the
picture displayed on the monitor is normal.
