6.2 Handrim Replacement

1. Remove the rear wheel from the wheelchair.
WARNING!
RISK OF INJURY OR DAMAGE
– After any adjustments, repair or service and
before use, make sure all attaching hardware is
tightened securely. Otherwise injury or damage
may occur.
– The tire MUST be fully deflated before any
disassembly procedures are performed.

2. Remove all air from the tube by pressing down on the pin in
the center of the valve stem.
3. While carefully holding the tire, tube and rim strip to one side,
hold the allen screws A and remove the locknuts C that secure
the handrim B to the rear wheel.
Remove the existing handrim B.

Install new handrim B by reversing STEPS 2-4.

RISK OF INJURY OR DAMAGE
– DO NOT inflate tire until it is completely
assembled.
– Otherwise injury or damage may occur.
6. Inflate tire to correct psi rating on the sidewall of tire.
7. Install rear wheel to the wheelchair.
8. Repeat STEPS 1-7 for opposite rear wheel if necessary.
