Troubleshooting

If the Communication System does not function correctly, check the following.
Symptom
The power is not
turned on.
No sound or the
volume is very low.
Picture is blurred.
No picture.

Cause
The power switch is not set to on.
The batteries in the Remote
Commander are low or dead.
The volume of the system is too
low.
The volume of the TV monitor is
too low.
The microphone on the remote
party is turned off.
Audio input is not selected
properly.
The microphone or external
equipment is not connected
correctly.
Manual focus is selected but picture
remains blurred.
When auto focus is selected, the
background is too bright, contrast is
too high, or the background or the
participants' clothes contain fine
line patterns.
The selected picture source is not
tuned on.
Video input is not selected properly. Select the video input properly (page
The selected picture source is not
correctly connected to the system.
A voice meeting is held.
Movement of the camera is
prevented.
Solution
Press the power switch to turn on the
power of the system (page 35).
Replace the batteries with new ones
(page 33).
Adjust the sound volume by pressing
the VOLUME +/– buttons on the
Remote Commander (page 38).
Adjust the volume of the TV monitor.
Ask the remote party to turn on the
microphone.
• Set up "Input Select (MIC)" on the
Basic Setup1 page of the Audio
setup menu properly (page 64).
• Set up "Audio Input" properly on
the Basic Setup1 page of the Audio
setup menu (page 64).
Check the connection (pages 157 and
161).
Adjust the focus (page 134).
Select manual focus and adjust

Turn on the selected video equipment.
