    Setting Up the Printer Before You Begin Make sure you have a KODAK Print Kit 6R (sold separately) available before you begin your printer setup (see “Printer Supplies” on page A-2). The printer weighs 62 lb (28 kg) and is heavier at the front IMPORTANT: than at the back.

The trim tray collects paper trimmings that are generated when the printer cuts the prints. Insert the trim tray into the printer as shown.

  • Page 13 Setting Up the Printer Insert your fingers into the holes in the plastic wrapper on the end of the ribbon. Remove the plastic wrapper from the ribbon.     Slack in the ribbon can cause a paper jam. IMPORTANT: Close the top cover. Loading the Paper Make sure you have a KODAK Print Kit 6R (sold separately) available. This kit contains the correct paper for your printer (see “Printer Supplies” on page A-2).
  • Page 15 Setting Up the Printer Attach the paper flanges to each end of the paper roll: Align the lugs on the green flange with the notches on the paper roll. Insert the green flange into the notched end of the paper roll. Insert the gray flange into the other end of the paper roll.
  • Page 16 Setting Up the Printer Feed the paper into the rear printer slot until the red LED light turns off and the green LED light turns on. Close the paper door. NOTE: The ribbon must be loaded in the printer before the paper automatically advances.

    Fire or electric shock could result. If any foreign object enters the printer, turn off the printer power immediately, remove the power cord, and contact KODAK Service and Support. Wipe the exterior of the printer and trim tray with a damp, lint-free cloth.
