A. Outline
The image formation system is the main
part of the printer, and it consists of the
photosensitive drum, developing unit,
charging roller. etc.
When the PRINT signal (/PRNT) is sent
from the video controller to the DC
main motor to turn the photosensitive
drum,
developing
charging roller, and transfer charging
roller.

Laser
The primary charging roller uniformly
applies a negative charge to the surface of
the photosensitive drum. To form the latent
image on the photosensitive drum, the
laser beam modulated by the /VDO signal
illuminates the photosensitive drum
surface.
T h e l a t e n t i m a g e f o r m e d o n t h e
photosensitive drum is changed to a visible
image by the toner on the developing
cylinder, then transferred to the paper by
the transfer charging roller. The residual
toner on the photosensitive drum surface
is scraped off by the cleaning blade. The
potential on the drum is made uniform by
