Note:
If this message is displayed, turn the power OFF, and do not switch the power ON for
about ten minutes.
If you switch the power ON within ten minutes, the printer will automatically shut OFF
the current to the fting roller heater to prevent overheating.

and 5743 on the connector PCB
making good contact?
Remove Lhe f&ng unit and measure

the resistance between connectors
180 to 280 kQ (at room temperature)?
Remove the fling unit. Is there

continuity beiween connector 5743-1
and 5743-8 on the fbdng unit?
Open the delivery cover and let the
fixing roller cool. Close the cover and
switch the power ON. Is the voltage
between connectors J212-1 (/FSRD)
and TBZOl-6 IGND) on the IX
controller PCB initially about 5.1 VDC.
and does it change to about 1.5 VDC
roller warms
as the 0xln.g
Switch the power ON. Is the voltage
between ronneclors 5212.2 (RJD) and
PCB about 5 VDC?
Check
Is the laser beam shutter open/close
boss of the EP-E cartridge damaged?
Are connetors 5205 and 5206 on the
DC controller PCB making good
contact?

Procedure
Reattach the connectors
Check the wiring from
connector 5210 on the DC
controller PCB to the
thermistor. If whlng is
proper. replace the
thermistor.
Check continuity in the
fixing roller heater and
thermoswitch individually.
Replace any defective parts
Replace the DC controller
Replace the power supply.
Replace the DC controller
PCB.
Procedure
Replace the cartridge.
Check by using the laser
Reattach the connecters.
