❏ During borderless printing, the image is slightly enlarged and the protruding area is cropped. Adjust the
amount of enlargement.
❏ Control Panel
In the print settings for Print Photos mode, select Expansion, and then select the amount of enlargement.
❏ Windows
Click Settings on the printer driver's Main tab, and then select the amount of enlargement.
❏ Mac OS X
Select the Print Settings menu in the print dialog and select the amount of enlargement in the Expansion
setting.

Paper Is Smeared or Scuffed

Check the following if the paper is smeared or scuffed when printing.
❏ Clean the paper path.
❏ Load paper in the correct direction.
❏ When performing manual 2-sided printing, make sure that the ink is completely dry before reloading the paper.
❏ Enable the scuffing prevention feature. Only enable this feature when a scuffing problem occurs because using it
may cause the print quality to decline and print speed to slow down.
❏ Control Panel
Enter Setup, select Printer Setup, and then enable the Thick Paper setting.
❏ Windows
Select the Maintenance tab on the printer driver, click Extended Settings, and then select Thick Paper and
Envelopes.
❏ Mac OS X
Select System Preferences from the
then select the printer. Click Options & Supplies > Options (or Driver). Select On as the Thick paper and
envelopes setting.
