Troubleshooting (Q&A)
Symptom
Motion picture cannot be edited.
Edited differently to the specified frame.
It cannot access the drive with other
software such as Explorer.
Formatting of the DVD-RAM/RW that
was recorded with this software is not
possible.
Data addition for AVCHD Progressive/
AVCHD/AVCHD Lite motion pictures is
impossible.
Cannot write to CD/DVD.
Cannot recognize the optical disc in
[Copy to Media].
A message regarding insufficient
PC specifications is displayed when
operating a short movie story.
Only the motion pictures or still pictures on the PC are able to be edited or used to create
media. Copy the pictures on the media to the PC first.
It may be edited differently to the frame specified in the editing operation depending on the
motion picture.
The drive in use by this software cannot be accessed by other software. Close this software
before accessing with other software.
The DVD-RAM/RW that was recorded with auto protect enabled is set as protected, so it may
not be able to format with other DVD recording software or Explorer.
In this case, formatting the disc with this software will remove the protection, and enable other
software to format the disc. ([Complete erasure] takes a long time, so it is recommended to use
[Simple erasure].)
Data can be added only to the following media.
BD-R/RE, DVD-RAM or memory card that was recorded with this software
Memory card that was recorded with compatible digital camera
A CD/DVD drive that is compatible with the Windows standard writing wizard is necessary.
If the [Recording] tab is not displayed in [Properties] of your CD/DVD drive, the drive is not
compatible with the writing wizard and cannot be used.
Windows XP is compatible with CD writing only.
If you are logged in to Windows XP as a restricted user and insert an optical disc into the drive,
it is not recognized. Log in as a user with system administrator privileges before using the disc.
Sufficient PC specifications are required to use the short movie story function. Even if your
PC was determined to have sufficient processing performance during installation, your PC
may not meet PC specifications to use the short movie story function. Check whether your PC
environment meets the recommended system requirements for the short movie story.
