Symptom
Even when your digital camera and
PC are connected using the USB
connection cable, the PC does not
recognize the digital camera.
Thumbnails are not displayed correctly
in the [Copy to PC] screen.

Motion picture
Symptom
Motion picture cannot be displayed.
Motion picture does not play back
correctly.
Panorama pictures saved in QuickTime
format cannot be played back.
Is any memory card inserted into the digital camera?
Depending on the digital camera, it becomes necessary to set the digital camera to be
connected with the PC. For details, refer to the operating instructions for the digital camera.
Motion pictures recorded with devices not compatible, or motion pictures created with other
software cannot be displayed as a thumbnail, or "?" is displayed in the thumbnail and they
cannot be played back.
If TMP is set to a drive other than the hard disk in the environment variable setting of the OS,
specify a folder in the hard disk that the OS is installed on.
Only motion pictures that were recorded with a digital camera that had this software supplied
with it, or recorded using this software can be displayed. (However, motion pictures in DVD-
Video format are not compatible.)
Motion pictures that were edited with another device or software cannot be displayed even if
recorded by a digital camera that had this software supplied with it.
Close any other software if it is running.
Try updating the device drivers for the sound card or video card.
Depending on the Windows Aero functions, PC environment, or the motion picture to play back,
missing frames or colors may occur during the playback, or the motion picture may not play
back smoothly.
There may be noise in the audio or the motion picture may not playback smoothly at the part
where the resolution or audio of the motion picture is switched.
It may play back with a lower frame rate depending on the processing performance of the PC,
making it unable for a smooth playback.
Pictures cannot be played back if not associated with QuickTime Player.
Right click on the icon in Explorer and associate the picture with QuickTime Player. After doing
this, double clicking on the thumbnail will play it back.
