Taking Pictures with Manual Focus

Use this function when you want to fix the focus or when the distance between the lens
and the subject is determined and you do not want to activate Auto Focus.
Set [SIDE LEVER] in the [SETUP] menu to [FOCUS].
Set the focus selector switch to [MF].
[MF] is displayed in the upper left of the screen
while in Manual Focus Mode.
Slide the side lever to display focus range on the screen.
It is also possible to display focus range by pressing the rear dial to select [MF] at the
lower right of the screen, and then rotating the rear dial.
Slide the side lever to focus on the
subject.
Side lever (T): Distant
Side lever (W): Near
A Focus range
The focus can be adjusted by pressing 2/1 or
rotating the rear dial.
Using the cursor button is recommended when making slight adjustments.
When you stop operating the focus adjustment, the focus range will disappear after a
few seconds.
