This machine uses a laser diode to produce an electrostatic latent image on the OPC drum. The
laser diode unit converts image data into laser pulses, and the optical components direct these
pulses to the OPC drum.
As a mechanical safety feature, the shutter [J] closes to block the laser beam path whenever the
front door is opened.
