Mobile hotspot via Wi-Fi
Set up mobile hotspot
To set up or configure a mobile hotspot over Wi-Fi, follow these steps:
1.
From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
2.
Tap System settings.
3.
If necessary, tap the All tab.
4.
Under 'WIRELESS & NETWORKS,' tap More.
5.
Tap Tethering & Mobile HotSpot.
6.
If necessary, select the Mobile HotSpot check box.
7.
Tap Configure Wi-Fi hotspot.
8.
If necessary, edit the following options:
o
Network SSID
o
Security
o
Password
9.
Tap Save.
Turn on/off mobile hotspot
To turn on or turn off a mobile hotspot over Wi-Fi, follow these steps:
1.
From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
2.
Tap System settings.
3.
If necessary, tap the All tab.
4.
Under 'WIRELESS & NETWORKS,' tap More.
5.
Tap Tethering & Mobile HotSpot.
6.
Select or clear the Mobile HotSpot check box.
Tethering via USB
To share your mobile data connection with a computer over a USB cable, follow these steps:
1.
Connect your device to a computer via USB cable.
2.
From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
3.
Tap System settings.
4.
If necessary, tap the All tab.
5.
Under 'WIRELESS & NETWORKS,' tap More.
6.
Tap Tethering & Mobile HotSpot.
7.
Select the USB tethering check box.
