If you enter a PIN code incorrectly several times in a row, the device blocks you from attempting again. To enter a PUK code and
unblock the PIN, follow these steps:
Important: You must call Customer Support for the PUK code. Entering the wrong code can permanently damage your SIM card.
1.
Contact Customer Support to request your PUK code.
When the device displays 'SIM card is PUK-Locked. Please contact Customer Care', tap Emergency Call.

Enter the following: **05*PUK*NEWPIN*NEWPIN#.

Tap OK.
SIM PIN
Change SIM PIN
To change the SIM PIN code, follow these steps:
1.
From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
2.
Tap System settings.
3.
If necessary, tap the All tab.
4.
Scroll to 'PERSONAL,' and then tap Security.
5.
Tap Set up SIM/RUIM card lock.
6.
If necessary, select the Lock SIM card check box.
7.
Enter your current SIM PIN, and then tap OK.
8.
Tap Change SIM PIN.
9.
Enter the old SIM PIN, and then tap OK.
10. Enter the new SIM PIN, and then tap OK.
11. Enter the new SIM PIN again, and then tap OK.
Turn on/off SIM PIN
The SIM PIN code can protect your SIM from being used in other devices. When you turn on the SIM PIN lock, the device prompts
you to enter the code after turning it on.
To lock and unlock the SIM card, follow these steps:
1.
From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
2.
Tap System settings.
3.
If necessary, tap the All tab.
4.
Scroll to 'PERSONAL,' and then tap Security.
5.
Tap Set up SIM/RUIM card lock.
6.
Select or clear the Lock SIM card check box.
7.
Enter your SIM PIN to confirm, and then tap OK.

Cache partition

Wipe cache partition

If the phone is not working correctly, you may need to master reset it and also clear the cache partition. These two resets clear
different parts of the phone storage. Unlike a master reset, wiping the cache partition does not delete your personal data.
To wipe the cache partition, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the phone.
2.
Press and hold the Power and Volume Up keys simultaneously.
3.
Continue to hold the keys past the T-Mobile splash screen.
4.
Release all keys when the Android system recovery screen appears.
5.
Press the Volume Down key to highlight 'wipe cache partition.'
6.
Press the Power key to select.
7.
Once the device shows cache wipe complete, press the Power key to select 'reboot system now.'
Note: The phone will automatically restart.
