GPS

Turn on/off GPS

To turn on or turn off GPS, follow these steps:
1.
From any Home screen, touch the Notification bar and slide down.
2.
If necessary, touch the shortcut bar at the top of the screen and slide left.
3.
Tap GPS to turn on or turn off.
Note: When GPS is active, the icon fills with green.

Network

APN & data settings
To set the Access Point Name (APN) and turn on data settings, follow these steps:
1.
From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
2.
Tap System settings.
3.
If necessary, tap the All tab.
4.
Tap Mobile networks.
5.
Tap Access Point Names.
6.
Tap the Menu key.
7.
Tap New APN.
8.
Enter the new APN information as necessary.
9.
Tap the Menu key.
10. Tap Save.

Manual network selection

To manually select the wireless network the device connects to, follow these steps:
1.
From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
2.
Tap System settings.
3.
If necessary, tap the All tab.
4.
Tap Mobile networks.
5.
Tap Network operators.
6.
Tap Search networks.
7.
Select a network from the list.
The device detects and registers on wireless networks inside brightspot's calling area, but roaming networks are usually restricted to
brightspot SIM cards. You can manually select a network only in roaming areas.

Switch 2G/3G

To change the band between 2G and 3G, follow these steps:
1.
From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
2.
Tap System settings.
3.
If necessary, tap the All tab.
4.
Tap Mobile networks.
5.
Select or clear the Use only 2G networks check box.
Note: If the option is not selected, the device will use 3G networks whenever possible.

Turn on/off Airplane mode

Airplane mode turns off wireless connections. This allows you to use apps and menus, but not make calls or use the internet.
