Applying a LUT to Video from the HDMI OUT Terminal
When recording with Canon Log gamma, you can apply a LUT to the video being output from the HDMI OUT
terminal.
Operating modes:
1 Open the LUT [Setting] submenu.
[¢ Video Setup] > [HDMI] > [LUT] > [Setting]
2 Select [On] and then press the joystick.
3 Select [Select] to open the LUT selection submenu.
4 Select the desired option and then press the joystick.
• The selected LUT will be applied.
Options
[BT. 709]:
Converts to a gamma curve based on the ITU-R BT.709
standard.
[Wide DR]:
Converts to a gamma curve with a wide dynamic range.
NOTES
• If necessary, you can superimpose the onscreen displays on the video displayed on the external monitor
(A 139).
• You can select the SD output method (A 139).
• The HDMI OUT terminal on the camcorder is for output only. Do not connect it to an HDMI output terminal on
an external device, as this may damage the camcorder.
• There will be no video output from the AV OUT terminal while an external monitor is connected to the HDMI
OUT terminal.
• Correct operation cannot be guaranteed when connecting the camcorder to DVI monitors.
• Video may not be output correctly depending on the monitor. In such case, use the AV OUT terminal.

Using the AV OUT Terminal

The AV OUT terminal outputs a down-converted analog video signal and audio signal for connection to monitors
with a composite audio/video input.
NOTES
• When you play back a clip on a monitor with a 4:3 aspect ratio, the monitor will switch automatically to
widescreen mode if it is compatible with the Video ID-1 or WSS system.
• If necessary, you can superimpose the onscreen displays on the video displayed on the external monitor
(A 139).
Video will not be output at 1920x1080 with a frame rate of 59.94P or 50.00P (depending on
the system frequency).
Allows video to be output at 1920x1080 with a frame rate of 59.94P or 50.00P (depending
on the system frequency).
