Using the Search Function

Press the Speed Dial/Search key. The display will show
ENTER 1'ST CHAR.

Using the One-Touch key, enter the first letter of the
name of the location you want to transmit to.

Repeatedly press
to scroll through the list of location
IDs beginning with the selected letter.

When the correct location is found, press the Start key to
begin faxing.

Using the Numeric Keypad

Dial as you would on a normal telephone.

If you make a mistake, press the DEL key to back up one
space, then enter the correct number.

Press the Start key.

Using An External Telephone

To use this feature, you must have an external, optional
handset or telephone connected to your fax machine.

Pick up the receiver and dial the number. If the receiving
machine is in automatic reception mode, a high-pitched
tone will be heard.

If someone answers, request that they press the Start key
on their machine.
3
You (the sender) will also need to press the Start key on
your machine.
