Symptom

Remedy
Set the Main switch to
(A)
Press the Shutter button
again halfway. If the
subject still cannot be
focused, refer to
"Difficult Subjects for
Autofocus" in Chapter 8.
Replace the PC Card or
delete some images
Insert a PC Card
Remove the battery from
the camera and reload it.
If the blinking "

indicator disappears, the
camera will operate
normally.
If the "

does not stop blinking
after repeating the above
operation several times,
there is a malfunction in
the camera. Take the
camera to your service
representative.
Insert a different PC
Card or delete some
images from the PC
Card.
Recharge the battery,
replace it with a freshly
charged battery, or, if
working indoors, connect
the AC adaptor.
Wait a few seconds.
