If the LCD screen only shows the time, your product is in sleep mode to save power. This occurs
after 13 minutes elapse without pressing a button. Press any button (except the
On button) to
wake it up.
Breakdown or repair of this product may cause loss of network and/or fax data and settings.
Epson is not responsible for backing up or recovering data and settings during or after the
warranty period. We recommend that you make your own backup or print out your network and/
or fax data and settings.
Checking for Software Updates
Periodically, it's a good idea to check Epson's support website (U.S. or Canada) for free updates
to your product's software. You can select Download the Latest Software from the Home screen
of this User's Guide or visit the product software download site for your product (U.S. downloads
or Canadian downloads).
Note:
Windows: Your Windows product software automatically checks for updates. You can manually
update the product software by selecting Driver Update on the Maintenance tab in the printer
settings window. You can also click
or Start, select All Programs or Programs, select
EPSON, select your product, and select Driver Update.
Problem-solving Tools
You can often diagnose problems with your product by checking the messages on the product's
LCD screen.
If that does not help you solve your problem, check for additional solutions.
If you need to determine if your product is operating properly, run a product check.
If you need to reset all of your control panel settings to their default settings, press the
Copy/
Fax button if necessary, press the
Menu button, select Restore Default Settings, and press
OK. Press

to select Reset All Settings, and press OK again. (If you want to reset
