■ ATB Ring Back function

If enabled, this feature is effective when a subscriber attempts
to push [PTT] while the site is in an "All Trunks Busy" status,
and/or is still "Receiving a Downlink" at the time the [PTT] is
pushed.
In the event of an "All Trunks Busy" condition, and/or a con-
dition of "Receiving a Downlink," a quick [PTT] push results
in the transceiver going into a waiting for an open repeater
mode. When an open repeater signal is received by the trans-
ceiver, the transceiver handshakes and holds the channel for
the pre-programmed time period. After receiving a handshake
beep, the transceiver will hold the channel for this period be-
fore it releases it. The operator must then key up their trans-
ceiver to communicate. Failure of the operator to push [PTT]
before this timer expires results in a loss of the channel grant
and another push of the [PTT] will be required.
When the pre-programmed CH Reserve Timeout timer
elapses, the transceiver returns to its default state.
• This function is usable in transceivers whose revision num-
ber is 4.4 or later. Ask your dealer for details.
