Test Configuration

Simulation on a configuration computer
A simulator is supplied with the ProTool configuration software which enables the
configuration to be tested on the PC/PU. A condition for this is that ProTool/Pro RT
(Runtime) is installed on the configuration computer. The runtime software is
contained on the configuration software ProTool/Pro CS (Configuration System)
installation CD.
The simulator is an individual application. It simulates the configuration offline, i.e.
there is no connection to the PLC. Detailed information on the operation of the
simulator is provided in the user's guide ProTool Configuring Windows-based
Systems .
