5 Fuser Unit Error
• Immediately after turning ON the power, does a fuser error occur?
• YES
• NO
• NO
• NO
After turning ON the power, wait 3 minutes. Does a fuser unit Error occur?
NO
• Is the fuser unit heater ON? (Is it HOT?)
• YES
• NO
•NO
Is there an AC voltage output between Pin 1 and Pin 3 of the CN1 connector of the
Low Voltage Power Unit?
NO
• YES
Replace the fuser unit.
7-pole side
Pins 1 & 2: Non contact
Pins 3 & 4: Correction
Pins 5 & 6: Side thermistor
6-pole side
Pins 1 & 2: Lower thermistor

Are the three Upper Roller Thermistors down or short-circuited? (See Figure
7-1.)
At an ambient temperature between 0 and 43˚C: 7-pole side:
Pins 1 & 2 = 4194 to 696.6kΩ
Pins 3 & 4 = 642.1 to 122.4kΩ
Pins 5 & 6 = 642.1 to 122.4kΩ
YES
Replace the fuser unit.
Is the thermistor on the lower side down or short-circuited? (See Figure 7-1.)
At an ambient temperature between 0 and 43˚C: 6-pole side:
Pins 1 & 2 = 642.1 to 122.4kΩ
YES
Replace the fuser unit.
Go to (A).
Replace the engine control PCB.
Replace the fuser unit.
Replace the low voltage power unit.
