SECTION 6—SEAT AND BACK
After any adjustments, repair or service and before use, make sure all attaching
hardware is tightened securely. Otherwise injury or damage may occur.
NOTE: The procedures in this section apply to non-recliner models only. For recliner models, refer
to recliner on page 55.
Replacing Seat Upholstery
NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 6.1.
1. Remove the mounting screws that secure the existing seat upholstery to the seat rails.
NOTE: The following chart determines the number of mounting screws for each seat depth.
2. Remove the existing seat upholstery from the seat rails.
3. Install new seat upholstery by reversing STEPS 1-2.
Replacing Back Upholstery
NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 6.2.
1. Remove the two mounting screws and washers that secure the existing back
upholstery to the back canes (Detail "A").
2. Remove the two mounting screws and locknuts that secure one back cane to the
wheelchair frame (Detail "B").
NOTE: It is necessary to remove only one back cane to replace the back upholstery.
