Incline Potentiometer Test
1.
In calibration mode, before pressing START, the upper console
shows the incline digital value in the display window.
2. With the treadmill set at zero incline or -3% incline for decline
units, refer to elevation overview for correct digital value that
corresponds to model and console configuration.
3. This number will move up or down in value depending on the
model. Most PS treadmills digital value will move up from 20-30.
4. A digital value of 0 or 255 often indicates a control cable open or
a failure of signal to panel.

This test will expose the tech to a potential shock hazard.
Exercise caution when performing this procedure.
This test is designed to help the field tech determine if the
incline motor potentiometer is properly set.
