Getting started
Adding and registering a cordless handset
You can add a new handset (MS2025, purchased separately) to your deskset. The
cordless handset must be registered with the MS2015 deskset before use. When
first purchased, the expansion handset shows Choose Handset in Registration at
base menu. And put handset on cradle to register.
Make sure the cordless handset is properly installed before you begin registration.
Refer to the user's manual of the cordless handset for details. If the handset does
not have enough power to proceed with the registration, you need to charge the
new handset for at least five minutes.
To register an MS2025 cordless handset to your MS2015 deskset
1.
Make sure the cordless handset is out of the
charger and the screen shows Choose Handset in
Registration at base menu. And put handset on
cradle to register.

On the MS2015 deskset, press MENU

SELECT again or press /SKIP to select

Handset. The deskset screen shows Registering
handset... (Put handset on cradle to start).

Place the unregistered cordless handset into the
charger. The handset screen displays Registering...
Please wait. The handset beeps once and begins
registering to the MS2015 deskset. It takes up to
60 seconds
to complete the registration. When the
registration is successful, the MS2015 deskset shows
Handset registered and then the handset shows
Ext Handset. To change the handset name and the
extension number shown on the handset screen,
refer to the Phone rename and Extension no. sections
in the user's manual of the cordless handset.
6.
Lift the handset, then press the desired line key (LINE 1-LINE 4). If you
hear a dial tone, the registration was successful.
NOTE: If the registration is not successful, the MS2015 deskset returns to the previous screen. To
reset the handset, remove the handset from the cradle. Try the registration process again.
