Removing and Replacing the Battery

All batteries can cause property damage and/or bodily injury such as burns if a
conductive material such as jewelry, keys, or beaded chains touch exposed terminals.
The conductive material may complete an electrical circuit (short circuit) and
become quite hot. Exercise care in handling any charged battery, particularly when
placing it inside a pocket, purse, or other container with metal objects.
1.
Ensure the phone is turned off.
2.
Remove the battery cover as described in the procedures.
3.
Lift up the bottom of the battery by the 2 recesses near the bottom edge of the
phone and remove it from the battery compartment as shown in Figure 5.
4.
Lift the battery out of the phone.

To replace, align the battery with the battery compartment so the contacts on
the battery align with the battery contacts in the phone.
6.
Insert the battery into the battery compartment, contacts side down.
7.
Insert the bottom end of the battery into the base of the phone.
8.
Replace the battery cover as described in the procedures.
