2. Select Fax Settings > Receive Settings > Remote Receive.
3. After enabling Remote Receive, enter a two digit code (0 to 9, *, and # can be entered) in the Start Code field.
4. Press OK.
Using Remote Receive
1. When the telephone rings, pick up the handset.
2. When you hear a fax tone, enter the start code using the telephone.
3. After confirming that the printer has started receiving the fax, hang up the handset.
Receiving Faxes by Polling (Polling Receive)
You can receive a fax stored on another fax machine for fax polling by dialing the fax number. You can receive a
specific document from a fax information service by following the audio guidance of the service.
Note:
When you follow the audio guidance, dial the fax number using the connected telephone.
1. Enter Fax from the home screen.
2. Select Menu > Polling Receive, and then enable the function.
3. Enter the fax number.

Saving Received Faxes

You can save received faxes in the printer's inbox or on a computer. If you set none of them, received documents
are printed automatically.
1. Enter Setup from the home screen.
2. Select Fax Settings > Output Settings > Fax Output.
3. Press Settings, select the option you want, and then make settings.
❏ Save to Inbox
Saves all received documents in the printer's inbox. The stored documents are not automatically printed.
You can view the documents on the LCD screen of the printer and print them if needed.
❏ Save to Computer
On the computer connected to the printer, make settings to save received documents on the computer using
FAX Utility. See the help of FAX Utility for more details.
