Place the child's bottom
and back flat against the
child restraint.This will
increase comfort and
allow the harness to
properly tighten.
Check Harness Height
Forward-Facing
Position: Harness guide
must be
even with or
just above
the shoulders.
If the top harness guides
are below the child's
shoulders, the child
weighs at least 40 lbs.
(18.1 kg) and is over 1
year old, convert the seat
to a belt-positioning
booster.
Determine which set of
harness guide slots works
best for your child.
To change harness
location:
From the back of the seat,
unfasten harness from
splitter plate.
Pull harness through the

harness guides from the
front.
Rethread harness in
correct harness guides and
refasten harness to splitter
plate. Make sure harness
does not twist.
WARNING
!
Failure to reattach the harness correctly,
can result in serious injury or death.
Adjust Headrest:
To adjust headrest, loosen
screws on the back of child
restraint. Raise or lower
headrest to the position
that best fits your child.
Tighten screws.
Adjust Buckle:
Determine which of the
three available buckle slots
is both comfortable and
snug. Refer to "Removal of
Harness" to adjust buckle.
Harness Covers (on
select models): Harness
covers help protect the
neck. To remove the
covers, unthread the
harness from splitter plate,
remove covers, and
rethread harness. Reverse
to replace covers.
