Sub error codes

Sub error codes for 9xx and 2xx error codes

The sub error codes are helpful troubleshooting a paper path problem, especially paper jams in the
base printer, envelope feeder, and duplex option.
Displayed error codes
When a 9xx or 2xx error displays:
1.
Press and hold Return and press Select to enter for sub error codes.
The first screen of information displays. Write down the information.
2.
Continue pressing Return and Select until each screen of information is obtained.
3.
When the last screen displays, the original message displays.
The following is an example of how the printer displays a duplex option sub error code.
Printed error codes
Additional information is available by printing the error log. See
page 3-7.
Action
Indicates an equipment check condition has occurred in the specified device, but
the device is unable to identify the exact component failure.
Note: <device> can be one of the following: duplex, tray x (1, 2, 3, 4, or 5),
envelope feeder or output bin.
The specified device has detected an equipment check in its system card.
