Select Playlist/Artist/Album/Genre/
Composer/Folder
Playlist/Artist/Album/Genre/Composer/Folder can be easily changed.
For example, if you listen to a song from a selected album, the album can
be changed.
Press 1 o or p 2 to select the desired Playlist/Artist/Album/
Genre/Composer/Folder.
Note
If the song search mode was used to select a song, this function is
inactive.
If an album is selected during an artist search, other albums by that
artist are searchable.
This function is inactive during shuffle (M.I.X.) playback.
This function is inactive during RPT ALBUM/RPT ARTIST playback.

Alphabet search function

The unit's alphabet search function can be used to search for an album,
song, etc., more efficiently. In Playlist/Artist/Album/Song/Podcast/
Genre/Composer search mode, select the first letter of your desired title
(album, song, etc.), the titles beginning with this letter are listed. By using
this function, you can quickly target any song.

In the search mode, press ABC SKIP.
The letter selection list is displayed.

Turn the Rotary encoder to select a desired letter (e.g. M),
and then press s/ENTER.
The titles beginning with "M" are listed.

Turn the Rotary encoder to select the desired title.
Note
While in Alphabet search mode, pressing c will return to the
previous mode.
If the Playlist search mode is used to search for a song, the Alphabet
search function is inactive in the song search hierarchy.

Search Position Memory

During playback, you can quickly return to the last-selected hierarchy
level in the search mode.

The hierarchy you selected last in the search mode is displayed.

Connecting an iPod/iPhone

An iPod/iPhone can be connected to this unit by using the Interface
cable for iPod (supplied). When this unit is connected by using the cable,
the controls on the iPod are not functional.
Note
Internet and telephone functions of the iPod touch or iPhone, ect.,
can also be used while connected to this unit. Using these functions
will stop or pause the currently playing songs. During this time, do
not operate the unit to avoid a malfunction.
If you connect an iPhone to this unit, it can be used as an iPod. If
you use iPhone as a hands-free phone, use the unit in which the
BLUETOOTH function is built.
Do not leave an iPod/iPhone in a car, as its mechanism is sensitive to
high temperature and humidity conditions, and damage may result.
