Calling Line Identification Presentation (CLIP)

Description
Allows the extension user to display the calling party's number on the LCD of the called party's
telephone when receiving a call (CLIP). This feature is one of ISDN's services.
CLIP for BRI (when making an outside call through the BRI ISDN line)
Multiple Directory Number (MDN) will be sent to the other party. If the extension number is
assigned in program [455-456] Extension Ringing Assignment —— Day / Night for ISDN, a
corresponding MDN assigned in program [454] DN Assignment will be used. If not assigned
in program [455-456], the MDN assigned in the youngest location of the corresponding port in
program [454] will be used.
CLIP for PRI (when making an outside call through the PRI ISDN line)
When "Regular" is assigned in program [420] ISDN Ring Service Assignment, the number
pre-assigned in [418] Outside Line Number Assignment for PRI CLIP is sent to the other party
as the CLIP number. If "ISDN" is assigned in program [420], the number sent as the CLIP
number is as follows:
CLIP number (16 digits max.) for each extension can be assigned in programs [622] Extension
CLIP Number Assignment and [624] ISDN Extension CLIP Number Assignment, while a
CLIP number (16 digits max.) for each outside line can be assigned in program [418].
The extension user can select to show an outside line number or an extension number as the
CLIP number.
Conditions
• The CLIP service for outgoing outside calls can be restricted by System Programming
(CLIR: Calling Line Identification Restriction).
