HEATED REAR WINDOW

Press button A to switch the heated
rear window on. The LED on the but-
ton will come on.
The device will be automatically
switched off after ten minutes.
The electrical rearview mirror de-
mister will also be switched on auto-
matically.

FUEL CUT-OFF SWITCH
(fig. 115)
This is a safety cut-off switch which
comes into operation in the case of an
accident to block the supply of fuel
thereby stopping the engine. It also
prevents spilling fuel if the lines are
broken in the accident.
The safety switch will operate - in
the event of an impact - the central
door locking system (if locked) to al-
low opening the doors from the out-
side.
After the crash, remember to turn
the ignition key to STOP to prevent
the battery running down.

If, after an accident, you
can smell petrol or see that
the fuel feed system is
leaking, to avoid the risk of fire, do
not reset the switch.
If you cannot see any fuel leaks and
the car is in a fit state to continue its
journey, press button A to reactivate
the fuel supply system.
HANDBRAKE (fig. 116)
The handbrake lever is located be-
tween the two front seats.
Pull the handbrake lever upwards
until the car cannot be moved. Four
or five clicks are generally enough
when the car is on level ground while
nine or ten may be required if the car
is on a steep slope or laden.
IMPORTANT If this is not the case,
take the car to a Lancia Dealership
to have the handbrake adjusted.
