Front Panel Settings and Energy Save

Occasionally, the brightness of the set-top's front panel display may change, for example the display
may dim automatically when the set-top is turned off. You can use the Front Panel Settings to set the
brightness levels of the display at its brightest and dimmest.
You can also use the Front Panel Settings to activate Energy Save. If the set-top's Energy Save mode
is active, the internal hard disk will receive no power when you switch off the set-top (that is, when
the front-panel power light is red).

If you have not done so already, put the set-top into "user settings mode", as described on page
42. Then press the U or D button until the front panel displays "brit", as shown right.
Press the R button. The Front Panel Setting menu, shown right, appears.

Press the U or D button to highlight "Dim Level" or "Bright Level" as required ("Dim Level" is

the brightness of the display at its dimmest; "Bright Level" is the brightness of the display at its
brightest.)
Use the select button to choose the setting you want (the setting changes each time you press

select): "Low", "Std" (Standard) or "High".

When you have made all the changes you want to make at the Front Panel Setting menu, press the
L button to re-display the PACE POWER menu.
