Note: When the NPB-40 is turned on, POST
automatically tests the NPB-40 circuitry and
functions.
Caution: During POST (immediately after power-up),
confirm that all display segments and icons are
shown, and the NPB-40 speaker sounds a one-second
tone.
When the NPB-40 is turned on, the backlight remains on,
the display cycles through the following sequence as
POST takes place:
•
all display graphics are shown for three seconds,
the backlight is turned on at this time
•
the display goes blank (all display elements off) for
one second
•
the version number of the software is shown as a
three digit number in the right hand number field
(with foremost zeros if the version number is less
than 100) and two dashes in the left-hand number
field, for three seconds
•
the current time of day (24-hour format) is shown
for three seconds
•
successful completion of POST is announced by a
POST pass tone. A failed POST is announced by a
high-priority alarm tone
