When you will not use the printer for one week or more, turn off the
power switch and disconnect the power plug from the outlet. Also,
remove paper from the multi-function feeder and paper tray, and
store it in an environment with less humidity and dust.
1. Check that the printer power is off and disconnect the power
cord. Check that the printer power is off (the power switch is
pressed on the "O" side). Disconnect the power cord from the
outlet.
Disconnect the power cord also from the connector on the back
of the printer.
Important:
If an error message is displayed, act properly by referring to "Error
Indications" in Chapter 5, then turn off the printer power.
2. Remove paper. Remove paper from the multi-function feeder and
paper tray, and store it in an environment with less humidity and
dust.
