Installing an Interface Board

Remove
the cover
Secure
screws
When the interface board is removed and not used, put the slot cover
back in position and secure it with the screw.

Connecting to the LocalTalk Port

To connect to the LocalTalk port, simply connect the interface cable
between the printer and your computer.

Connecting the LocalTalk Interface Cable

To connect to the LocalTalk interface port, you need a cable
correctly wired for this printer and your computer. The cable must
also have the proper connectors. Your dealer or technical support
person can supply you with the proper cable.

Installing an Interface Expansion Board
1. Make sure the printer is
turned off. Check that the
power switch is pressed on
the "O" side.
2. Remove the interface board
slot cover from the back
right of the printer.
3. Insert the interface board.
Hold the board with the
parts mounting side left.
Slide the board into the
empty interface slot along
the guides. When the board
hit the connector inside the
printer, press the board to
connect it to the connector
firmly. Secure the board by
the two screws removed in
step 2.
