8.9 Sharing media content with other devices 45
NOTE
Some digital media servers (DMS) may not work with this re-
ceiver.
2. Select a device which has media content you want to play, then
the list of media files on the selected device gets displayed.
3. Select a media file you want to play by pressing the

file if it can play back.

to use as a player, then the designated device would pull and
play the selected media file if it can play back.

media file gets copied into the digital receiver's hard drive. You
can check the downloaded media files on only the FTP server of
the digital receiver.
NOTE
In order for the digital receiver to find the folders shared on your
computer you must first install a media server software on your PC.
If you have Windows 7 you will need to turn on the media server
component in windows media player. Alternatively you can also
use another media server program.
In order to share media files via smart phones, there are certain appli-
cations needed as below.
• Android OS: BubbleUPNP, MXPlayer
• iOS: Media:connector, Flex player
There could be additional applications you could use other than the
apps listed above.
NOTE
Topfield is not responsible for damages inflicted on files or systems
due to smart phone applications.
