UPC-E

The following options apply to the UPC-E symbology.

Disable/Enable UPC-E

When disabled, the imager will not read UPC-E bar codes.

Checksum Transmission

Enable this option to transmit the checksum along with UPC-E bar code
data.

Truncate/Expand

None —
Turns off the truncation/expansion features listed below.
Has no affect on the
To turn it off, set leading/ending values to 00.
NOTE
Truncate NSD —
zero (0) in the leading position can be truncated (excluded) from
scanned bar code data.
Expand UPC-E to EAN13 —
code which 'expands' the data to the EAN-13 data format. Selecting this
feature also changes the symbology ID to match those required for EAN-
13.
Expand to UPC-E to UPC-A —
code which 'expands' the data to the EAN-13 data format. Selecting this
feature also changes the symbology ID to match those required for EAN-
13.
