The meter is not coded or the
code key is not inserted. Turn
off the meter and recode it. See
Chapter 1, "Coding the Meter."
The test strips expire at the end
of the current month. Before
the end of the month, insert a
new code key from a new box
of test strips and ensure the
code key number matches the
code number on the test strip
container. Make sure the time
and date in the meter are
correct.
Chapter 5: Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Your blood sugar may be extremely
low, or the test strip may be
damaged or not properly inserted. If
you see this error message after
you applied blood to the test strip,
see Chapter 3, "Unusual Test
Results." If you see this error
message before you applied blood
to the test strip, remove the test
strip and reinsert it, or replace it if
damaged. If the message reappears,
call the ACCU-CHEK Customer Care
Service Center at 1-800-858-8072.
The code key is incorrect. Turn the
meter off and insert a new code key.
If this does not fix the problem, call
the ACCU-CHEK Customer Care
Service Center at 1-800-858-8072.
