LCD Panel Removal

Remove the LCD panel from the system unit as follows.
Note
There are no field replaceable parts within the LCD panel.
The LCD panel must be returned to the factory for repair.
1. Remove the system board and support plate assembly (see "System Board
and Support Plate Assembly Removal" earlier in this section).
2. Carefully cut the cable tie around the LCD panel interface cable and switch
cable (see the following figure).
3. Remove the four screws securing the collar and system unit chassis to the
LCD panel.
A – Drive Bay
B – Drive Bay Screw (1 of 4)
C – Cable Tie
D – Switch Cable
4. Carefully pull the LCD panel out of its mount on top of the system unit
chassis.
5. Carefully pull the interface cable and switch cable through the collar in the
system unit chassis. Set the LCD panel down on a clean, flat surface, screen
side up.

The LCD panel is a whole unit replaceable item.
