Clean the non-label side of the disc with a soft lint-free cloth, gently
rubbing from the center of the disc to the outer edge of the disc. Or use a
commercial CD-ROM disc cleaner.
Try a different disc to see if the problem is limited to one disc.

The disc does not eject due to a power failure or software error.
Turn off the system and use the emergency eject feature. Insert the end of
a paper clip into the emergency eject hole on the front of the CD-ROM
drive. Press inward on the clip to open the door.

The drive plays music CDs but the sound is not heard.
Adjust the volume control on the side of the system unit.
Check the volume control in the system tray along the taskbar.
Check that the cable connecting the drive to the system board is in place
and secure.

Speaker Problems

Check the following problems to see the possible cause and solution.
!
No sound from the speakers.
Check that the system power is on.
Check that the system AC power adapter and AC power cord are
connected to the power source and the back of the system unit.
If using a headphone, check that it is plugged in.

Sound is only coming from one speaker.
Balance the speaker output by adjusting the balance in the sound software
(see the Windows Multimedia online help).

Speaker volume is too low.
Adjust the volume control on the left side of the system unit. If the
volume is still too low, adjust the volume through system software (see
Windows Multimedia online help).
