Operating the Drive
Meaning
If the drive contains a
cartridge during the power-
on cycle, the drive
completes POST and
slowly rewinds the tape
(the process may take up to
thirteen minutes). The light
stops blinking and
becomes solid when the
drive completes the
recovery and is ready for
read or write operation. To
eject the cartridge, press
the unload button.
The drive is displaying error
code(s) from the error code
log on the SCD. For more
information, see "Error
Codes and Messages" on
page 44.
