Water pump

– Remove the screws
– Remove the water pump cover and the seal ring.
– Remove the cap nut
Assemble in the reverse order, paying attention to the following items:
– Inspect the parts for damage or wear.
– Replace any damaged or worn parts.
– Degrease the thread on the cap nut, apply Loctite 243 and tighten
to 6 Nm.

Balancer gear

– Remove the mounting pin
– Remove the screws
– Press out the balancer gear.
– Remove the nut
– Pull off the bearing
– Remove the retaining bracket

Assemble in the reverse order, paying attention to the following items:
– Inspect the parts for damage or wear.
– Replace any damaged or worn parts.
– Press on a bearing
ring.
– Degrease the thread on the nut
20 Nm.
– Use mounting sleeve 585.29.005.000 to press into the clutch cover
