Shear Bolt

1. IMPORTANT: If a shear bolt breaks during
operation immediately shut down the Power Unit and
wait for all rotation to cease before replacing the shear
bolt.
2. The shear bolts used on this snow blower are
machined with a shear groove for this specific
application. Use only Part No. 00783322. Always
stock spare shear bolts in case you encounter tough
conditions. The machine is shipped with 8 spare
bolts.
IMPORTANT: Tighten nut only enough to draw the
shear plates together.
Occasionally grease shear mechanism inside and
toward front of fan and toward rear of fan. Fan is
equipped with taper bearing for shear rotation.
IMPORTANT: Replacement of the shear bolt with
one of any other grade or size will be considered
an unauthorized modification and the warranty
will be void.

OIL RESERVOIR

Use SAE ISO68 oil or equivalent
for oil bath. (15 gallon capacity)
Remove lid to grease Internal
Pillow Block Bearing.
Relieve hydraulic pressure prior to doing any maintenance or repair work
WARNING!
on the Implement. Place the Implement on the ground or securely
blocked up, disengage the PTO, and turn off the tractor engine. Push and
pull the Remote Cylinder lever in and out several times prior to starting any
maintenance or repair work.
WARNING!
Never attempt to lubricate, adjust, or remove material from the Implement
while it is in motion or while tractor engine is running. Make sure the
tractor engine is off before working on the implement.

Do not over tighten nut.

Double Nut Shear Bolt to
prevent loosening.
Do not grease Bearings the first year
of operation. Grease the second year
and thereafter. Give each Bearing
two pumps with a hand operated
grease gun every season.

Never install two
shear bolts.
