REFRIGERATORS

Winter Operation - Thetford and Electrolux Refrigerators
▲ Please check that the ventilation grilles or the flue outlets are not blocked by snow,
leaves etc.
Your caravan is supplied with winter covers as standard equipment. These covers should be fitted
when the outside temperature is below 10°C.
▲ The covers should also be used when the caravan is in storage or is being washed by a
high pressure spray. or during very wet weather.
▲ Remember to remove all winter covers at all other times when the refrigerator is in use.

ELECTROLUX REFRIGERATOR MODEL RM 4270

The refrigerator can be run on either 230v, 12v or LP gas. Changing between these modes of operation
is carried out by means of the controls on the control panel shown above.
Two rocker switches are used to select the electric power supply, one for 230v (B) and one for 12v (A).
Refrigerator temperature is controlled by a thermostat (C) when the unit runs on 230v. The gas supply
is turned ON/OFF by means of the knob (D).
Refrigerator temperature is controlled by thermostat (E) when the refrigerator runs on LP gas. Please
note that the thermostat has no OFF position.
4.10.1 LP Gas Operation – RM 4270
● Open the shut-off valve of the gas bottle (check that there is enough gas). Open any on-board shut-
off valve.
● Check that the switches for mains and 12v operation are off.
● Turn on the gas supply by pressing the knob (D) and turning it to the

● Keeping the flame failure device button (D) pressed, depress the piezo igniter button (G) rapidly
