PDP-R03U Overview
The Pioneer PDP-R03U Media Receiver is designed for use with Plasma
Display Models PDP503PU or PDP433PU. The units must be connected
using the two system cables for proper operation. The Media receiver
cannot operate as a stand-alone unit. The Digital Video output from the
Media Receivers DVI system cable is in a TMDS format (Transition
Minimized Differential Signaling) with HDCP protection (High Bandwidth
Digital Content Protection System). The output is digitally scrambled by the
HDCP system when sent to the Plasma Display and can only be decoded
by the Plasma Displays interface card. Key data matching between the
display and receiver must be verified before the signal will be sent or
decoded by the Plasma Panel.
